Any two Cisco Catalyst 6500E series Switches with Supervisor Engine 720-3C/720-3CXL/S2T-10G/S2T-10G-XL can be pooled together into a VSS. The chassis offers superior investment protection by supporting all the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Supervisor Engines and associated LAN, WAN, and services modules
